1793 South Wales token for a farthing. Approx. 22 mm diameter, in copper, the obverse shows a laureate bust of a man, facing right. Around the border is "SOUTH WALES FARTHING". The reverse shows the crest of the Prince of Wales, on a shield, with a stem of flowers on each side of the shield. Above the shield is the date, 1793. Around the border of the upper half of the token is "PRO BONO PUBLICO". Nice medium to dark brown color on both sides, with nice surfaces.
