VINTAGE PAIR OF TWO JAPANESE REPOUSSE TRINKET BOXES.  BOTH MADE IN JAPAN.  FIRST BOX SEEN HAS A MAJORITY OF ITS SILVER PLATING AND HAS JAPANESE KANJI LETTERING ON THE FRONT.  THE SIDES ARE DECORATED WITH FLORAL MOTIFS.  THE BOTTOM IS SIGNED MADE IN JAPAN.  THE INTERIOR IS WOODEN WITH THE BOTTOM OF THE LID LOOKING LIKE GILTED.  THE SECOND BOX HAS LOST A MAJORITY OF ITS SILVER PLATE AND IS MOSTLY BRASS IN COLOR.  THE BOX FRONT SHOWS THREE PEOPLE HAVING A PICNIC NEAR A TOWN, SURROUNDED BY FLORAL DECORATIONS.  THE SIDES SHOW MORE TOWN SCENES AND FLORAL MOTIFS.  THE BOTTOM IS MARKED MADE IN JAPAN.  ALSO HAS A WOODEN INTERIOR.
