Very Rare out-of-print Limited First Edition Reproduction of the unique and historically important Budapest Tarot from the mid-15
th
Century. This is one of the oldest Tarot Decks that still exists. There are 83 Cards altogether: the complete 78-Card Major & Minor Arcana, plus 2 information cards (one French and one English), 2 cards identifying the names for the Major Arcana, and a decorated Signed & Numbered presentation card. Only 250 of these were produced – this is
number 184
. The First Edition differs from the Second Edition in many ways; the “Emperor” card and ‘Cups’ and ‘Coins’ Suits were completely redone, and there are other differences. This earlier Version is now extremely hard to find.
The deck comes inside a thick paper Envelope-type Wrapper decorated in the ancient style of the Budapest Tarot. There is also a special Illustrated Band that goes around the cards, and a larger Red band that goes over the exterior wrapper. Cards are about 4 x 2.25 inches. Everything in this Set is 100% LIKE NEW condition.
