Cradle Board, Red Cedar, Doll Size, Indian Made, Small
This is a nicely crafted Navajo hand made traditional cradle board that measures about 10 inches long x 5 inches wide. The wood is 1/4 inch red cedar and soft leather thong is used for the ties. The wood as been sealed with a light coating of urethane. It is perfect for a small doll or as a decorative piece or wall hanging.
The cradle board is mailed in 2 pieces to save on shipping, so s
ome simple assembly is required.
1. Look at photo #4 to see the 2 pieces.
2. Photo #5 shows the predrilled holes.
3. Photo #6 shows the leather thong and the predrilled holes.
4. Photo #7 shows the thong through the pre-drilled holes. Simply pull the 2 ends of the thong all the way through. Pull both of the thong ends tight       against the board and tie them together using an overhand or square knot.
5. Then repeat on the other side. The arched wood is springy, so just gently push it down until the thong is over the predrilled holes and proceed with #4 above. That's it.....
These cradle boards would make a fine easily mailable gift or give away item.
NOTE: Each is individually made and therefore are one of a kind. As you know, red cedar varies in coloration and grain. The photos are of a typical cradle board but not necessarily the one you will receive.
