    Description

    KHWAREZM SOVIET PEOPLES REPUBLIC~500 Ruble 1340 AH/1922 AD.  Almost Uncirculated.  This is a very scarce coin in any grade, much less, in high grade.  When I bought this coin it was listed in Krause as Y4a 500 Roubles  Khwarezm 1920-1924 AD.  Now it is listed under Central Asia as Khorezm People's Soviet Republic Y19.2.  This coinage appears to be the earliest dated use of the power symbol of t he hammer & sickle.  This is a crude hammered coin and the planchet appears to have been cast.  This denomination is 500 Rubles, other denominations are 20,25, and 100 rubles, all of base metals, either bronze or brass.  This coin comes from my personal collection and will make a great addition to any serious collector's collection.  GET A GOOD LOOK, THIS MIGHT BE THE ONLY ONE YOU EVER HAVE A CHANCE TO BUY.
