Description
This piece was passed down to me by my father about 30 yrs ago. Have kept it stored all this time. I took it to a local fundraiser where appraissers were made available and for a fee donated to the local school they appraised your item for free. I no longer have that appraissers business card or information. The appraisser told me that to a collecter looking for Mr. Peanut items this could be worth up to 0. Immediately following the appraissal I was approached in the parking lot by a stranger and offered 0 , someone was there watching for Mr. Peanut items and saw me inside. I declined the offer having just been told value could be up to 0, then went back home and put back in storage, only unearthing again in the last few days since spring cleaning has begun. He is 10.5 inches tall, cast iron bank. I have only kept it clean with damp cloth I have attempted no refurbishing/repainting. As shown in picture #5 someone who owned the piece prior to me did attempt to refurbish the rear of the black pants because there are some paint drippings.
