This auction is for 2 bumper stickers of The Beatles that I won from a local radio station when I was the 5
th
caller on a phone-in contest the station was having.
The radio station had a 2 hour Sunday morning program called “Breakfast With The Beatles”. The station would play all Beatles music and also bits from interviews. The bumper stickers were for promoting the program on the station.
These bumpers stickers are practically brand new! I never used them; I just wanted them for my Beatles collection. Being a young collector back then, I even kept the envelope that the stickers wear mailed to me in!
As you can see in the photos, there are no tears, stains, or markings on the stickers. The are just like new. The back side of the stickers do show very light yellowing from age, but are still firmly attached to the sticker.
The stickers measure in inches: 7.75” x 3.25”. The envelope is a standard #10.
I have included the envelope the stickers were sent to me in just because of the age of these stickers can be verified by the post mark on the envelope. Just because they look like they are brand new, they are not; they are 31 years old and a collectable.
The postmark has faded from age, but the date still can be seen. The date is December 4, 1990. The envelope has yellowed from age. I opened the envelope from the top but used my finger and not an envelope opener, therefore the top is torn. I have placed a piece of paper over my address for this auction. It is not part of the envelope.
