This Viking needle clamp is a replacement from the original. The original needle clamp had a high breaking experience. Our technicians have assembled, modified and retooled a Heavy Duty Replacement. We have put this needle clamp through numerous test for quality performance.
The needle clamp is heavier than the original, the set screw is larger and the needle clamp/attachment arm is built onto the body ( solving one of the main weakness of the original design). All of the features have added to the over all strength and durability to the unit.
SPECIAL NOTE: this replacement kit is sold  as viewed: needle clamp body, mounting set screw and needle clamp/attachment screw. These heavy duty parts are not interchangeable with the original needle clamp system.
The original thread guide and needle stop plate are interchangeable with the new heavy duty system and you will need to use the thread guide and needle stop plate from your present system. They are not included.
